जेल की सजा , मतदाता के लिए अयोग्यता होने के विषय में उन्होंने स्पष्ट किया कि यदि सजा किसी नैतिक अपराध के लिए न हो तो व्यक्ति को मताधिकारसे वंचित नहीं किया जाना चाहिए .

In their concluding speeches Maulana ' Abul Kalam Azad , the Congress president , and Gandhiji made it clear that their next step would be to approach the Viceroy , as representing the British Government , and to appeal to the heads of the principal United Nations for an honourable settlement , which while recognizing the freedom of India , would also advance the cause of the United Nations in the struggle against the aggressor Axis powers .
